Our bunnies are looking for the right humans to share their love. They are eager to interview you for the job! If you would like to adopt, be sure to read the adoption requirements and application section. We also have a fostering program in place for those interested in fostering bunnies on either a temporary or permanent basis.

We got a desperate call from a concerned citizen about a rabbit in terrible shape who had just been rescued from under a shed. Because we were full, we suggested the rabbit be taken to the local shelter. After hearing about her condition we were afraid she’d be euthanized, so we arranged for Broomfield to take her. We would keep her for three weeks until a volunteer could take her from Grand Junction to Broomfield.
Once we got her and cleaned her up, we found Rosey likely to be a Himalayan mix with unusual brown markings and the trademark Ruby Rabbit eyes. We were also suspicious that Rosey may be pregnant, and sure enough, she never made it to Broomfield. There was a reason she looked uncomfortable during her photo shoot! Three days after coming to us Rosey gave birth to 10 babies who all survived. Just like that, the Satellite inventory went from 7 to 18!
We're going to make the best of this and enjoy all that cuteness while they grow! We’ll be adding pictures of Rosey and her babies as they emerge from the nest, and taking reservations for baby adoptions once they are old-enough for forever homes. We expect there will be a waiting list as everyone falls in love with the little hoppers.
Cranberry and Jackson Jr. were born at the Satellite November 4, 2007. This brother and sister have been loved-on since they were first born, and have never known a bad day of life! We kept them separate, thinking they would like to find the partners of their dreams, but they kept jumping into each other’s runs, until we finally got it – they want to stay together! Cranberry and Jackson are now officially a couple.
Cranberry is extremely sweet and content in snuggle in her people’s arms for hours. Jackson is more a boy’s boy: active, inquisitive, and deeply loving toward his sister. While he likes people, he’s still into exploring his environment and that big new world out there. These two young rabbits will provide many years of joy to their new human family!
Oh my goodness, Finnegan is such a character! He has never met a stranger. He loves dogs, people, other rabbits, and stuffed animals. With his gregarious personality, gorgeous thick, glossy blue coat, and loooonnnnngggg ears, 5 lb. 8 oz. Finn is married to the lovely Abby Rose, the beautiful black girl shown here, and mom to our adorable babies.
We don’t know anything about Finn's past, except that none of it could have been TOO bad because we see no emotional scars here! Abby Rose's story is a bit tougher, having been dumped in a field by some irresponsible human with two other rabbits. While at a foster home overnight, Abby Rose had four babies. Three survived and all four rabbits came into the Satellite. When Abby's babies were weaned, her luck REALLY turned, and she was married to Finnegan!
Since coming to the Satellite, Finn has developed chronic urine sludge. We don't know what has caused this but it's likely Finnie will need a special diet and monthly bladder flushings for the rest of his life. Not one to have his spirits dimmed, this precious boy is still loving and playful. For this reason, Finn and Abby are available as permanent fosters. The Satellite will pay the medical expenses so these darling rabbits can have the experience of having a human family of their own.
