Legend of the Pink Eyed Rabbit

August Bunny of the Month
Blueberry and Jethro

Blueberry and Jethro

Long ago Jethro was the worst injured of some rabbits thrown from a fast moving car. He lost an eye and had his ear tattered. But his spirit is undaunted!

Later when Blueberry came to us to find a hus-bunn, she picked Jethro. They went home hoping to live happily, but had to come back to us for economic reasons.

This slightly middle-aged pair has faced a lot of change in their lives, but are hoping soon to find a forever home. "Please tell everyone that we can go home as adoptions or permanent fosters - whatever that means. We just want a HOME and a family of our very own!"

The Colorado House Rabbit Society is licensed by the National House Rabbit Society. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers. There are no paid positions. Every penny of all donations goes to helping the rabbits. We have two purposes: rescue and education.

The Colorado House Rabbit Society offers affectionate, litter-trained, spayed or neutered rabbits for adoption. We also offer education about rabbits. To learn about rabbits, you may order our "Rabbit Packet" for $5. We also offer the "House Rabbit Handbook" for $11.00. To purchase either or both of these publications, send the appropriate amount, plus $2.00 for shipping and handling, to CO-HRS, P.O. Box 238, Broomfield, CO, 80038

Remember! If you can't keep rabbits you have adopted from us, they must be returned. There is a $500 non-compliance fee if you fail to do this!

      Spring Gardeners! FREE compost material!

Bags contain paper litter, hay, rabbit urine and droppings. This combination makes excellent compost to make this your best gardening year. Bags are free to anyone who will get them at our Broomfield facilities.

This class is free to anyone who has adopted a rabbit from any animal shelter. For dates when classes will be held and to schedule your place, go to Bunny Tune-Up Class.

House Rabbit Society is a non-profit rescue and education group. We welcome your feedback and very much appreciate your donations of any kind. Please join, volunteer, and/or donate today!
