Bunnies In Search of Humans to Love
If you would like to adopt, be sure to read the adoption requirements and application section here.

People often adopt rabbits from other shelters instead of us, saying our rabbits are already being given very good care, and those in other shelters are in greater need. Please remember we do have some very needy rabbits, and every rabbit adopted from us enables us to take in the neediest rabbit from another shelter.

Hoping to adopt? Keep in mind as you look through our rabbits, single rabbits are available only to people looking for a friend for their own single rabbit. We can not pair singles on request for people who have no rabbits already, since the results are unpredictable. For those with no rabbits or an existing pair and wanting another, we always have already proven-compatible pairs available.

Aubrey

Poor little Aubrey was in labor for two days before her people finally took her to a vet and relinquished her because they couldn’t afford vet care. The vet performed a caesarian and spayed her. Of course, the babies were all dead.

Despite the horrid ordeal this lively little girl endured, she is still friendly and sweet. "I'm really looking forward to having a nice boyfriend bunny and a family who promise to take good care of me. I've proved I am a survivor!"

Grady Grady

The beautiful bunny was being ignored by everyone in the family. Instead of making time for him, the mom decided that if the kids had no interest, neither did she. So the kids learned that, instead of taking responsibility for their choices, they can simply dump them on someone else. Even though they don't realize it probably, this is sad for everyone, but especially for a beautiful, deserving rabbit who has no idea why! "Where'd my home go?!?"

Valerie and Ross

Ross was known as Sparky when he was here the first time. He ultimately became the beloved partner of Valerie and went with her to what should have been his Forever Home.

Sadly, his human became engaged to a man who was allergic to the rabbits, so this friendly pair of easy-going rabbits came back to us to give it another go. "We think we bring every rabbit charm in the book, with one of us being lop-eared and one being up-eared. Choose us and you'll get it all!"

Prancer Prancer and Momo
Available for permanent foster due to Prancer's age

Momo and his mate, Prancer, need a permanent foster home because Prancer is old enough that it isn't likely anyone will adopt a pair where one is this age.

Momo is a very unusually colored bunny boy - in fact, "momo" means "peachy" in Japanese. He first lived with a college student who clearly loved him, but hadn't taken into account the potential expenses adults can face if their companion animal is sick or injured. Sadly for Momo, he broke his leg and his young human friend wasn't able to pay for the surgery needed to repair it.

So Momo was faced with a dicey fate: the student could either relinquish her bunny or have poor little Momo euthanized. Luckily for him, she loved him enough to let him go.

Prancer's family came in and fell in love with Momo and the two quickly became sweethearts. All went well for several years, until the family fell apart and the bunnies had to be brought in to find a new home. This very nice pair is eager to return to family life just as soon as they can find people to love forever.

Prancer - DOB:  1999    Weight:  5-1/4 lbs
Momo - DOB:  2006    Weight:  4-1/2 lbs

Rusty

Rusty’s people discovered a jaw abscess long after it had begun to form. As a result, he was going to require major surgery, which they couldn’t afford, so we agreed to take him in and get him the help he needed.

The surgery was quite successful, and after weeks of dressing changes, Rusty will be as good as new. And his "good" is very good indeed! This perky rabbit is everything one could want in a rabbit; he is very friendly, gentle, and lively.

Cosmo Cosmo
We're still working on my leg...

Poor little Cosmo arrived from TMAC with one foreleg broken. It was bent under, and pointing toward his other leg, so he was trying to walk on the top of it - (ouch)

Cosmo has a torn ligament, and will have to have surgery to repair it. Unfortunately, his bones are too tiny for the smallest screws they make, so we're waiting until he's an adult before determining whether the surgery can be done or not. If it can't be, the leg will have to be amputated.

For now, he is a bit quiet (at least until the splint is off) and he can really get around again easily. He is a trusting little guy who seems to understand that people care about him and are working to help him. Once he is finished with his recuperation, he will be a wonderfully loving rabbit companion for the home lucky enough to select him.

Cosmo - DOB:  2009-10    Weight:  3 lbs

Andi

Andi arrived from the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, with the name “Andy” and paperwork stating she was a male. We corrected that error and changed her name to “Andi.”

Her former human “had no time for her.” This is incredible, because she’s wonderfully friendly and couldn’t possibly require much effort. Besides being so friendly, she is a lively girl sure to bring smiles to anyone who lives with her a joy to the life of the boy-bunn lucky enough to win her heart.

Fleur Fleur

This sweet little flower came to us from the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, where she had been relinquished. The cause given was “pet illness or injury,” but SHE wasn’t ill or injured, so we assume that another pet in the family was.

Although she is a bit feisty, she is easy to hold and she's certainly a vision of cuteness. She's hoping for a a new family and new home where she can really blossom!

Fleur - DOB:  2008/11/18    Weight:  3 lbs

Amadea

The Cheyenne Animal Shelter had too many rabbits, so we agreed to take some of them. Amadea arrived with the name “Amadeus,” and was said to be a male. We changed her name when we found she was a female.

This sweetheart is a bit fearful and needs a lot of gentle coaxing. She is definitely in the right place to learn to trust people and let herself relax with them. And finding her forever family will help her even more.

Promise Promise

Promise was also flown from a shelter in Salt Lake, Utah, by “Pilots for Paws,” to save her and several others from being killed. As with the rest of those rabbits, she arrived already spayed (or neutered as the case may be), and micro-chipped!

Promise is a bit on the feisty side, but being so young it "promises" to make her an interesting and entertaining furred family member. Feisty

Promise - DOB:  2009-06    Weight:  2-1/4 lbs

Bethany

Another of the rabbits flown to us from Salt Lake, Utah by “Pilots for Paws,” Bethany was saved from being killed. She arrived already spayed and microchipped.

Bethany is a happy rabbit, very friendly, and as cute as they come. Some might speculate that she is just happy to be alive and safe. Others would say that is just her natural disposition. What would you say?

Josie Josie

Josie was flown to us from Salt Lake, Utah with other rabbits by “Pilots for Paws,” to save her from being killed. She also arrived spayed and micro-chipped.

Eager for attention and friendly, this young one also arrived badly overweight, so we’ve been working to return her to the lovely, slim figure that was her birthright. "You should see me now, I'm looking better every day. I think I'm really a princess in desguise, you know".

Josie - DOB:  2009    Weight:  7-1/2 lbs
