Volume 4, Issue 4 - November 2004 Meet Pam True and Vicki Gamble: Our Volunteers of the Quarter
For some years, Vicki and Pam have fed our shelter rabbits every Saturday evening. They pick up free veggies every week, clean them, and prepare wonderful salads for the bunns. Short on veggies? They’re out harvesting the garden. Few folks are as conscientious as they are in looking out for problems any bunny might be having. They notify Nancy if they notice any bunny that seems out of sorts. Vicki and Pam have fostered many of our shelter rabbits, giving them not only a good home indoors, but frequently taking them out in their beautiful yard for lots of romps. These bunny vacations give our shelter rabbits a wonderful opportunity to experience the joys of being a real house rabbit. They have adopted special needs rabbits and lovingly give their time caring for these precious creatures so deserving of attention. Pam and Vicki wholeheartedly agree to bring bunnies and all the necessary supplies from the shelter to informational events, such as those at Tagawa Gardens in Aurora. They are always ready to pitch in and get the job done, whatever the need. Garage sale? They’re there, helping make it a success. Garage sale on a hot summer day? Pam and Vicki will bring cold lemonade. You name it, they’ll do it. Vicki and Pam, it is people like you who make it possible for the shelter to operate. You know how much the rabbits in the shelter love and appreciate you. Well, we humans do too. Many, many thanks for your selflessness, your boundless energy, and your warm hearts!
