A Note From a Member: Look for Opportunities to Spread the Word

At a picnic we attended this summer, a gentleman asked me about my HRS t-shirt. So, I expounded!

As it turns out, he and his wife are “critter people” and have two bunnies. They didn't know about their personalities, neutering, proper feeding etc. He said that now he feels guilty for not having the bunnies in the house and says he is going to call my bunny vet to have them spayed. I gave him some rabbit information that I had in the car, a copy of the cover of the House Rabbit Handbook and the HRS web addresses. I also keep an extra copy of the House Rabbit Handbook available and tell people I will sell it to them at the HRS discounted price.

Hurray! for t-shirts! I always wear something with a bunny on it. Consider doing the same. Wearing a bunny t-shirt is a great ‘ice breaker’ and a wonderful way to “spread the word” about how delightful HOUSE RABBITS are.
