Bunny Diversions: Hey, Ma, We're Really Diggin' This!

Bambi and Tristan love the dirt box we built for them in the "bunny pasture" just Bambi & Tristan Working Hardoutside my office door.

It's a 4' x 8' x 1' setup. We've installed chicken wire on the ground of the entire bunny pasture and extended it up the fence walls so they can't dig out. This way they can tunnel in the dirt box but can't go further than 12 inches deep.

Bambi, in particular, wears herself out. She just gets covered with dirt, moves rocks and clumps around with her mouth then comes up with a little black face. It's hysterical.

For bunnies who get to go outside and play, this is an inexpensive, simple way to make them very happy and get them some good exercise to boot.
