Scout and Gem -
These adorable brothers nearly climb onto people who open their door,
they are so eager for human affection!
Born on 5/8/04, and still growing, they will probably end up around 6
lbs. each. How do you tell them apart? Scout has no tail and a slight
head tilt.
Melanie -
Melanie, a delightful little dutch mix rabbit loves to have her face
stroked,
and will lie
unmoving
for as long as a person
will pet her. Born in November of 2003, Melanie is around 5 lbs of sweet
little-girl bunny. Suitors are welcome.
Archie and Bettie -
This brother and sister adore each other, but they also think people
are terrific
too. They were born in May 2003, and in
September, weighed less than 4 lbs. These two may know the secret of
perpetual motion, although when they tire of activity, they collapse
in a heap of white and brown fur that challenges you to figure out which
foot and ear belongs to which rabbit. This pair won't be here long! (no
photo)
BeBe - As you can see, BeBe is a
beautiful black rabbit. She was born around 2000, and had the misfortune
to lose her
beloved mate, and then
her home. “They say I'm a rabbit with a mind of my own (heck, I
wouldn't want anyone else's!) but I also like to be petted and pampered.” If
you have an older boy-bunn, BeBe is just the girl for him. She weighs
just less than 4-3/4 lbs.
Fleetwood and Rebel - Born in early 2004, Fleetwood (grey) and Rebel
(black) are brothers who each weighed exactly 3-1/4 lbs. on 9/2/04. Both
have friendly dispositions. Both Fleetwood and Rebel will be adopted
with an appropriate female partner. Benji -
Benji, born in 2003, looks a bit like an up-right eared mini-lop! Less
than 5-3/4 lbs, this agouti and white little fellow is very affectionate
and very curious. Nothing will be safe from his investigations in your
home. But you needn’t worry, he is very discreet, and will never
reveal what he finds to a soul. When he isn’t investigating, he’ll
probably be in your lap! (no photo) Rhonda and Brie -
These adorable sisters are "to die for." Born
mid-2001, Brie (tan and white) is just over 5-1/2 lbs., and Rhonda weighs
in at just over 4-1/2 lbs. The two like people very much, except for
the ones who said they didn't have time for them, and left them at an
animal shelter. If you have time for two furry little bundles of cuteness,
these bunnies may be the ones for you.
Caesar - Caesar is a Flemish Giant mix with one ear too heavy to hold
up. This almost-10 lb. rabbit seems to think he's a puppy, as he likes
to follow people wherever they go. We thought he could be no more than
a year old, but a veterinarian estimated his age to be about 7 years,
based on what he found when he neutered this big guy. We still think
he's a youngster! Lively, friendly, incredible, this rabbit is a real
prize.
Emily - This adorable little girl is a real sweetheart! Born around
2002, she is just under 5 lbs. Emily likes people and hopes that someone
with a boy-bunn compatible with her will take her home and give her lots
of cuddling.
Redford - This reddish-brown mini-rex,
is typical of his breed—gentle,
intelligent, and potentially friendly.
Unfortunately, he had been ignored all of his life, so he needed and
has received some tender encouragement to bring out the affectionate
side of his nature. Just under 5-1/2 lbs., he was born in 2001. Seth -
Seth is a very loving pure white mini-lop, born around 2001, and weighing
around 5-3/4 lbs. He is a gentle, curious, and affectionate little
guy who longs to meet the girl-bunn of his dreams and be taken home with
her. It would be hard to find a better bunn!
BB and Groucho - “BB” stands for “Black Bunny,” “Black
Beauty,” “Big Bunny,” “Beloved Bunny,” or
any other applicable two words beginning with “B.” Groucho’s
name has nothing to do with personality, but (for those of you old enough
to remember Groucho Marx) for the black mustache he has. These two are
devoted to each other, and like people who spend time with them. Born
in September 2001, these are big rabbits (9-3/4 lbs and 8-3/4 lbs, respectively).
When you hold them, you know you have a big bunch of bunny in your arms.
They are well-behaved rabbits who have been house-rabbits before. This
pair desperately longs for another home of their own. Magnolia -
Magnolia is a New Zealand White, close to 8 lbs., probably born in
2000. She's a great big lapful of bunny, who accepts being held
and petted, although is happy to be put down when you've had your fill.

Strawberry - This pure white, 1 year
old, not-quite-6 lb. bunny is an angel covered with fur! Put your nose
anywhere near
his, and your entire
face will be gently, but thoroughly washed! Some pathetic parent, who
didn’t know how to teach her daughter responsibility, dumped this
sweet guy because the child wouldn’t take care of him. Well, their
loss is someone else’s gain. Strawberry is a treasure! He
could be yours!
Bailey - This gorgeous 6-3/4 lb. rex is white
and caramel with caramel and black spots. Born around 2001, he is gentle
and friendly. Of course,
once you start to rub that fur of his, you almost can’t stop! He
doesn’t mind, though. He’s happy to be petted as long as
your hand can move.
Ethan -
This little, 4-3/4 lb, mixed-breed, white and grey bunny loves people!
Come close to his crate, and he’s begging for attention. “Pet
me! Pick me up! Love me!” he seems to cry out. Nothing makes
him happier than for a person to comply. Probably a 2004 Easter bunny,
this little guy is ready to move into your house, and your heart. All
you need is a single little girl-bunn who will fall ears-over-tail
in love with him, and he’s yours.
April - This tiny miss (3-1/4 lbs.)
is a delightful white and black mixed-breed bunny who wants a home where
she can entertain
to her heart’s
content. Tiny, lively, and cautiously friendly, April wants a hus-bunn
who will make her feel safe, give her love, and allow her to leave her
little paw-prints all over his heart. April was probably born in late
2003.
Polar - This white, 7-1/2 lb. bunny spent months
in the shelter in Douglas, Wyoming, before coming to us. Young and
lovely, this is another rabbit
who begs for attention. We think he was born in early 2003. Polar will
be a wonderful addition to someone’s home and family!
Jake - Jake is a white and
black, year-old male dwarf weighing less than 3 lbs. He is a very lively
little guy. He wants attention from
humans, but continues to worry about how gentle they'll be with him.
As with most dwarf breeds, Jake won't let anyone take advantage of
his small size. (no photo)
Paris - This rust-and-charcoal colored,
just-over 3-1/2 lb., mini-rex came to us after spending months in the
shelter in Douglas, Wyoming.
The staff there must be exceptionally good to the rabbits, because Paris
is also very friendly. He is anxious to find a wife-bunn and a home.
He will undoubtedly make some family very happy!
Phoebe - Phoebe, born in May of 2000, is a most
unusually colored pumpkin-and-charcoal-grey calico. She’s good-sized (just under 9 lb.) and very loving. Just
talk to her, and she’ll come to the front of her crate to accept
as much petting as you have time to give. She is an exceptionally gentle
bunny!
Valerie - This poor, 5-1/2 lb, shiny black bunny
with a bit of white, was attacked by a dog. Although she survived,
she lost part of an ear,
and developed an enormous abscess. This has been repaired, and she now
spends her days enjoying a quiet life observing the antics of rabbits
around her in our facilities. She whimpers a bit when picked up, but
doesn’t struggle at all, and once she’s comfortable in your
arms, she’s ready to stay as long as she’s welcome. Valerie
looks forward to the day she has a hus-bunn and home. (no photo)
Glynis - This beautiful pumpkin-and-charcoal grey calico beauty stiffens
at the touch of a human, but nevertheless allows herself to be petted
and picked up. She is learning that human hands can bring pleasant sensations
and delightful tastes. Probably born around 2000, this 6-1/4 lb. lovely
will soon be ready to grace a home with her presence. She would prefer
to be chosen by someone who will understand her need for tenderness and
quiet reassurance.
Max - This friendly, grey mini-lop,
just over 6 lb. was a stray who knew he needed help. He approached a
woman who picked him up and took him home. She soon realized that her
rather ill behaved boys could be the death of Max, and so she brought
him to us. Max is wonderful. His coat is unusual--almost chinchilla-colored.
He is eager to meet young girl-bunns who would enjoy cuddling with him.
We estimate that he was born in 2002. Stella - Stella is a white and taupe mini-lop
weighing 6-1/4 lbs., and she’s a natural tease! Approach her
and she’ll dive into
her litter box. Lay your hand in her cage and she’ll lunge at it,
halting just as you think she may take off your arm. Instead of doing
that, she sniffs it carefully. Then, try to pet her with the back of
your fingers between the eyes, and she’ll fly back to her litter
box. After three or four of these episodes, she’ll finally decide
you’ve had enough, and will allow you to pet her face. Move to
her jaws and she’ll push against you hard. Stella will be a genuine
delight in someone’s home!
Pepsi - Pepsi is a 6-3/4 lb. shiny
black bunny with white spot on her nose. She is another very friendly
little lady. She’s been eyeing Strawberry, so don’t be surprised
if he gets her before your boy-bunn does! * * *
Cassidy, a very sweet little bunn,
died following surgery to remove a mangled back leg. A necropsy showed
she had a congenitally compromised
liver. Toby, an incredibly
loving little lop, died of a pulmonary embolism.
