There
are
many
ways
you
can
help
the
bunnies.
The
list
of possibilities
is varied
and
includes:
membership
renewal,
recycling,
shopping
online,
writing
grants,
saving
juice
cans,
matching
donations,
joining
the
Champion
Program,
providing
clerical/office
help,
donating
play
pens,
and/or
baking
goodies
for
the
bake
sale.
1)
Renew
Your
National
Membership
When
it's
time
to
renew
your
membership
with
National
HRS,
please
send
your
check
for
$18.00
to
us
at
the
Colorado
House
Rabbit
Society.
When
you
renew
in
this
manner,
the
Colorado
HRS
can
keep
$3.00
of
the
membership
fee.
We
will
forward
the
remaining
$15.00
to
National.
Either
way,
the
membership
charge
to
you
is
$18.00.
Make
your
check
payable
to
Colorado
HRS
and
mail
it
to
PO

2)
Recycle
Through
Colorado
HRS
Please
donate
your
used
printer
cartridges,
drum
cartridges
and
old
cell
phones
to
Colorado
HRS.
These
can
be
sold
for
recycling.
You
may
leave
them
with
any
of
the
volunteers
at
the
supply
pick-up
points
or
bring
them
to
the
shelter
in
Broomfield.
There
will
be
a
box
in
the
supply
pick-up
room
labeled,
“Recycle
Cartridges
Here.”
This
is
another
great
way
for
you
to
help
the
bunnies
at
no
cost
to
you.
Spread
the
word
to
your
employer,
friends
and
family.
If
your
company
would
like
a
specially
marked
box
to
collect
their
cartridges,
please
let
Kay
know.
We
are
seeking
a
volunteer
to
help
get
these
donated
items
to
the
recycler.
The
task
is
quite
simple.
The
cartridges
must
simply
be
sealed
in
a
box
and
a
pickup
request
call
placed
to
Federal
Express.
This
position
will
require
a
commitment
of
about
one
hour
or
less
per
month.

financial
support,
more
money
is
needed.
If
anyone
has
experience
in
writing
grant
requests
and
would
like
to
donate
their
expertise,
please
contact

Play
Pens
The
Colorado
HRS
is
in
need
of
baby
playpens.
The
type
we
are
seeking
are
about
four
feet
square
with
mesh
sides
and
a
plastic
mat
covering
the
bottom.
If
you
have
one
or
see
one
at
a
garage
sale,
PLEASE
remember
us.
The
pens
are
exceptionally
useful
when
we
must
nurse
a
bunny
who
is
tumbling
with
severe
head
tilt.
The
soft
sides
keep
him
contained
and
prevent
him
from
injuring
himself.
