WON'T YOU HELP THESE BUNNIES?
(It takes so little, and their lives depend on it!)

A small, gray rabbit hopped slowly down the street dragging a sack of his own flesh behind him. He was at a critical point in his life...

Happily, a member of the Colorado House Rabbit Society spotted him. His hernia was repaired with two surgeries, and Scruffy, who is a fairly elderly rabbit, now resides happily with two other rabbits in a sanctuary home.

Gatsby and Daisy were strays picked up in different parts of the Denver metro area. Daisy, a pure white dwarf with strikingly blue eyes, seemed so vicious that she was slated for euthanasia at the shelter where she had been taken...

The CO HRS intervened, and within days, she was a gentle, loving little lady. Gatsby is a beautiful mini-rex who grooms people's hands and arms with his soft, warm, tongue. The two were neutered and spayed, litter trained, and paired. They have been adopted and now live as free-running house rabbits.

Buddy was depressed. The big, white New Zealand bunny had lost his partner ...

His people brought him to the CO HRS where he found a new love in "Pepper," an equally large mixed-breed rabbit. The happy couple returned to Buddy's home, enjoying their lives as house rabbits.

Since 1991, the Colorado House Rabbit Society has rescued rabbits, provided veterinary care as needed, spayed and neutered and litter trained them, and found them homes as house rabbits. Surprising to many people, rabbits are quite intelligent, affectionate, and highly entertaining. Hundreds of families are thrilled with their beloved house rabbits, and claim that they will never again be without a pair of them.

We have a nice location, and two good-sized rooms in which to house rabbits. However, we could house more, in more comfortable quarters, if we could build a shelter specifically designed for rabbits. Foster and sanctuary homes simply can't keep up with the need. Won't you help rabbits like Scruffy, Daisy, Gatsby, Buddy, and Pepper by donating a mere $5.00 to be placed in a building fund? (By the way, we are an IRS-approved, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-exempt. Moreover, we are an all-volunteer organization with no paid positions; nor do we employ professional fundraisers.)

Obviously a $5.00 donation from each of our members won't begin to be enough to build a shelter. In addition to giving your $5.00, we would ask you to encourage three other people you know who care about animals to donate the same. If they send $5 and get three more people to donate $5, it is possible that this "pyramid" of donations will enable us to build a shelter within the next five years.

Simply click on the "Make a donation" button. Or make a check to "Colorado House rabbit Society" (or just "CO HRS") and send it to:

Colorado HRS
P.O. Box 238
Broomfield, CO 80038-0238

You may want to make larger monetary donations, or to take advantage of donating stock or mutual funds (to avoid paying capital gains taxes, and taking a deduction for the full value of the funds). You might have land you would like to donate, or a used car. In any case, we would be most grateful to be the recipient of your generosity. On behalf of hundreds of grateful, furry, little bunnies,
